Time to Remodel?
Remodeling your pool should be considered
when you notice problems such as leaks or cracks but can also
be a way for you to upgrade the style and equipment of your
pool for many more years of enjoyment.
Wallace Pools specializes in extensive
remodels, full blow-outs, pool shape alterations, adding water
features and spas. This kind of work requires detailed
planning and skilled experts.
Correctly remodeling a pool can be done smoothly with our
experienced staff on the job. If you are going to remodel,
plan to do it right the first time. Also keep in mind that an
extensive pool remodel can cost as much as a new pool due to
demolition, core drilling, gunite additions, shape changes,
and additional water and masonry features.
Planning your Pool Remodel
Not all remodel projects require plans, but if you are doing
an extensive remodel we make sure to explain and show you
what is existing for demolition. As an experienced builder, we
pride ourselves in being honest and professional. We
will discuss potential problems, before they become problems.
Choosing a Pool Contractor
Checking a potential remodeling company's
license and references is just the start. We believe you
want to work with a company that will get the job done with
your best interests in mind. We don't cut corners to
make the project cheap. We are not just building a pool
but we are creating a backyard getaway for you and your
family. We will get the job finished on time, on budget
and to the high standards in which we conduct business.

The Remodel Process
The remodeling
process is very similar to the new pool process with the
exceptions generally being demolition and most often the
excavation, steel, and gunite phases don't even exist (after
demolition you go straight to masonry). In some cases however,
you may incur excavation, steel, and gunite charges when
adding features, such as waterfalls and spas.
Permits
are not required with remodels. We can retile and re-plaster
in 8 – 10 days. As long as there is no further
requirements. We also do economical salt upgrades for your
pool. Salt water is much better for you and your skin.
- Salt water has an expense
when it is installed, but after that you do not have to add
chlorine as salt makes chlorine. This saves you $60.00 for
every bucket you buy.
- Salt is softer on your
skin.
- The new salt systems are
great, as they monitor and clean themselves.
- You also do not have the
obnoxious little floater in your pool all the time with
salt.
- Both systems generate
Disinfection By Products (DBP). Both systems are very
climate dependent and also vary based on pool usage
